At the Spring AWE Expo, the leading CI distributor announced that it has been appointed as the URC International Hub for stock, training and technical support. Effective from 1st May 2016, URC assumed direct responsibility for international sales with AWE now being the central point of stock and support for many of the distributors across EMEA.
AWE was announced as the exclusive UK distributor for URC in April 2011 and since then, has established URC as a leading control manufacturer in the UK.
“We are proud of what we have achieved together since we began working with URC” explains Stuart Tickle, Managing Director of AWE. “URC is driving forward with international development and our proven ability to offer technical products with great marketing, training and back-up has resulted in us being appointed as the International Hub. It is our aim to provide the international base with an enhanced service, assisting URC achieve their growth targets. The great news is that our appointment will also provide our UK customer base with even better access to products supported by the best product and technical knowledge in the business.”
The URC range encompasses two main product lines, Complete Control and Total Control, which features a wide and versatile range of remotes, keypads, system controllers and network amplifiers. The Total Control line continues to expand in products, features and integration. The recent announcement at ISE 2016 of iOS/android device integration as standard means a URC Total Control system is an incredibly affordable and flexible system. AWE offers two URC training courses. The ‘Single Room Control with URC Complete Control’ course is designed to get attendees up to speed with URC’s CCP software, smartphone and tablet integration, programmable remotes and extenders. The ‘Whole House Integration with URC Total Control’ course explains how to master the intricacies of an advanced system that whilst still suitable for a single room, is capable of whole building control, automation and multi-room audio. The session introduces attendees to the range, provides advice on how to specify the correct system, plan the infrastructure and learn the programming.
