The new and improved OLED and Core LED ranges from Panasonic are now available to pre-order from AWE.
Ideal for a wide array of installs, including media rooms, gaming areas and cinema rooms – what really sets Panasonic’s 2022 range apart is their cinematic features. The latest-generation panels have been colour tuned in Hollywood by prominent movie colourist Stefan Sonnenfeld. Coupled with Panasonic’s excellent technical engineering credentials, the results are remarkable.
OLED Improvements
The OLED line-up comprises LZ2000 Master OLED Pro (55, 65, 77in), LZ1500 Master OLED Pro (42, 48, 55, 65in) & LZ980 OLED (42, 48, 55, 65in. These models deliver an even higher peak brightness in True Cinema, Cinema, Filmmaker, and Professional modes. They also support Netflix Calibrated Mode to reproduce images true to the director’s intention when streaming.
The OLED colour volume for blue has been improved, while retaining high-precision reproduction of various gradations, thanks to its HCX Processor. Auto AI mode identifies in real-time the type of content being played to smoothly optimise both picture and sound quality. AI is also used to detect the surrounding colour temperature to automatically adjust the picture depending on ambient light. Moreover, sound quality in the OLED models has been enhanced with surround sound audio, while the LZ1500 (65, 55in models) features ‘Dynamic Cinema Sound Pro’, which supports Dolby Atmos, and uses a built-in woofer for powerful, rich bass.
The Master OLED Pro panels (LZ2000/LZ1500) boast the best picture quality with high contrast yet. The audio also impresses. The LZ2000 includes a Front Array Speaker System and new Panasonic 360˚ Soundscape audio package. Built-in upward-firing, side-firing and front-firing speaker units create spatial soundscape with Dolby Atmos content for a more immersive, cinematic experience.
Core LED
At the more affordable end of the line-up, the Core LED LX800 Series (75, 65, 55, 50, 43in) is fantastic for daytime gaming, sport, and movie-watching. The HCX Processor ensures high colour accuracy and contrast, and Bright Panel Plus technology adjusts screen brightness in line with the ambient lighting to optimise the viewing experience.
Features include Android TV with built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant for voice control. It also has support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ Adaptive and Dolby Atmos.
Enhanced Gaming Experience
The new TVs tick a lot of boxes for gamers, with speed, clarity and smoothness being top of the list. 60Hz Refresh Mode dramatically reduces latency and input lag for 60Hz games on OLED TVs – they are also certified with AMD FreeSync Premium Support to eliminate choppy gameplay.
Game Mode Extreme provides the ultimate tools for gamers on OLED models, including support of key HDMI2.1 features such as High Frame Rate (HFR) as well as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) at 120Hz in full 4K resolution. A new feature called Game Control Board collates relevant game settings and presents them as an overlay, so gamers can access settings without leaving their game. It supplies instant access to Information (such as frame rate, HDR metadata and chroma sub-sampling data), Dark Visibility Enhancer, HDR Tonemap, Input Lag and VRR, and Viewing Mode.
User Experience
In terms of user experience, the OLED and Core LED include the latest version of Panasonic’s easy-to-use Smart TV OS, featuring My Home Screen 7,which supports all major video streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+, as well as voice control. Customers get an impressive high-quality display, with immersive cinematic features in an all-in-one, simple to use display. What’s not to love?
