Now available from AWE, the new eero PoE 7 adds tri-band Wi-Fi 7, dual 10GbE connectivity and PoE+ power to eero’s discreet wall and ceiling-mountable access point range.
AWE has expanded its eero offering with the new eero PoE 7, a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point designed for professionally planned wired networks.
The new model builds on the discreet installation format of eero PoE 6, adding greater wireless capacity and 10-gigabit network connectivity for connected homes and light commercial projects.
Power and network connectivity is delivered through a single Ethernet cable using PoE+, allowing the access point to be positioned on a wall or ceiling without requiring a nearby mains socket.
Wi-Fi 7 Capacity For Demanding Networks
eero PoE 7 operates across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands, with a 2×2 radio configuration on each band and support for channel widths up to 320MHz.
eero rates the access point for wireless speeds of up to 3.9Gbps, with each unit supporting more than 200 connected devices and providing up to 190m² of indoor coverage.
These specifications make the PoE 7 well suited to properties where the network must support a growing mix of streaming systems, video calls, smart-home devices, mobile products and other high-bandwidth services.
10GbE Connectivity & PoE+ Power
The PoE 7 is equipped with one 10GbE PoE+ port and a second 10GbE port, with eero quoting wired throughput of up to 9.4Gbps.
This provides the wired headroom needed to support multi-gigabit internet services and higher-capacity local networks without placing a 1Gbps or 2.5Gbps limit at the access point.
When powered over Ethernet, the unit requires an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ connection with a power allocation of 25.5W.
Designed For Discreet Placement
Measuring 209.8 x 209.8 x 42.9mm, the PoE 7 uses a slim, low-profile enclosure intended for wall or ceiling mounting.
A mounting bracket and fixing accessories are included, with the Ethernet cable routed through the centre of the plate before the unit is rotated into position.
The ability to use a single Ethernet cable for both data and power helps simplify installation and removes the need for a visible local power supply. It also allows access points to be installed in positions selected according to the wireless design of the property, rather than the location of existing mains sockets.
Straightforward Management Through The eero App
The access point is configured and managed through the eero app, which provides guided set-up, network controls and troubleshooting.
eero PoE 7 is backwards compatible with existing eero hardware, allowing it to be added to established systems. However, using it alongside other Wi-Fi 7 eero products will allow the network to make fuller use of its tri-band capabilities.
Automatic software updates provide ongoing performance, feature and security improvements without requiring the integrator or homeowner to manage firmware updates manually.
Software That Manages The Network Automatically
Alongside its Wi-Fi 7 hardware, eero PoE 7 uses eero’s TrueMesh, TrueRoam and TrueChannel technologies.
TrueMesh manages routing across the eero network, while TrueRoam helps compatible devices move between access points as users travel through the property. TrueChannel automatically selects wireless channels to reduce the effect of congestion and interference.
These technologies allow the system to adapt to changing network conditions without requiring the homeowner to make continual manual adjustments.
A New Option Alongside eero PoE 6
The eero PoE 7 joins eero PoE 6 in AWE’s range.
PoE 6 remains available as a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point, supporting wireless speeds of up to 1.5Gbps and more than 100 connected devices.
The new PoE 7 provides an alternative for projects that require tri-band Wi-Fi 7, greater device capacity and 10GbE connectivity. This allows integrators to select the model that best suits the performance requirements, network infrastructure and budget of each installation.

Training & Support From AWE
eero PoE 7 is available now from AWE and is backed by a three-year manufacturer warranty.
Online eero training will also be available through the AWE Smart Home Academy Training Portal, which is due to launch this summer.
The portal will give AWE customers access to structured online learning covering eero and the wider range of brands supported by AWE, helping integrators develop their product knowledge at a time and place that suits them.
