URC Announces New Modules And Increased Functionality For Total Control

To ensure its products remain in line with the latest technological advancements, URC has introduced a number of new two-way control modules and has increased its functionality. The additions have been designed in house at URC and are completely free of charge to installers who have purchased URC systems through its exclusive UK distributor, AWE.

Voice control is the latest technology to hit the market, and one that both installers and consumers are interested in. For this reason, URC Total Control is now able to integrate with Amazon Echo. This development will see consumers able to control their music, heating, lighting and more by speaking to the Amazon system.

With many security conscious consumers turning their attention to home technology, URC has also introduced a module for Doorbird door entry. Via a URC interface, consumers will be able to control and view who is at the door.

URC has invested a great deal of time and money into developing new built-in updates, including reactive push notifications, geo-fencing and software scheduling. New on-wall and remote hardware allow for intercom services between rooms internally.

URC is now fully integrated with HEOS By Denon. The new module provides control of multiroom audio across a property. Another development is the full release of KNX modules. KNX is a rapidly expanding building automation control system that is very popular in the industry. URC and KNX both have different strengths, so this partnership plays to these.

URC has also released modules for Sonos, Philips Hue, Coolmaster and Nest. These new modules combine mainstream consumer products and professional systems, and allow them to work together URC.
