Special Achievement Award for AWE MD: Stuart Tickle Honoured

At the ERT Awards 2018, Stuart Tickle, Managing Director of AWE, was awarded the ERT Special Achievement Award.

“I am truly humbled and delighted to receive the ERT Special Achievement Award 2018. Having spent many years starting as a Saturday Boy in my Dad’s hi-fi shop, I understand the pressures independent retailers face and am passionate in seeing those that are left, not just survive, but thrive. This is particularly humbling award, not only for myself, but for the wider AWE team who have worked hard to ensure that independent retailers are fully supported in the fast-moving world of smart home technology, so I’d like to extend this award win to them.

At AWE, we spotted an opportunity in the Custom Installation Industry some 20 years ago and I do not want independent retailers to miss the rapid growth in the emerging “Smart Home” environment. It will take a specific effort from the business heads to make a success, but increased margins and differentiation from the box-focussed internet business is there for their taking. I hope that this wonderful recognition of our sustained efforts will catch the attention of the key decision makers attending the Turning Point conferences and change that in the years to come!”
