Marantz has announced the launch of two new reference-grade home cinema components, the AV30 AV preamplifier and AMP30 power amplifier, completing its latest generation of high-performance separates.
Designed and manufactured at Shirakawa Audio Works in Japan, the AV30 and AMP30 extend the established AV10, AV20, AMP10 and AMP20 line-up, giving installers greater flexibility when designing systems for a wide range of room sizes and performance requirements.

AV30 – 11.4-channel reference AV preamplifier
The AV30 is an 11.4-channel AV preamplifier, offering a powerful yet accessible entry point into Marantz’s reference separates range. It shares the same industrial design, user interface and core audio architecture as the higher-tier AV10 and AV20, while delivering channel counts ideally suited to dedicated cinema rooms up to 7.4.4.
Key features include:
- 11.4-channel processing with advanced bass management
- Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D support
- Dual 8-channel, 32-bit DACs for high-resolution audio playback
- Marantz HDAM-SA2 discrete analogue circuitry throughout the signal path
- Seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, all supporting 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz
- Full support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, VRR and ALLM
The AV30 includes the full Audyssey MultEQ XT32 calibration suite as standard, with support for multiple subwoofers. For more advanced installations, the AV30 also supports Dirac Live, including Dirac Active Room Treatment (ART), available as an upgrade. This allows installers to take control of timing, phase and low-frequency behaviour across the entire system, even in challenging acoustic environments.
Network and streaming features are handled by HEOS, with support for AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and Roon Ready, making the AV30 equally capable for music-focused installations.

AMP30 – flexible, high-power slimline amplification
The new AMP30 is a six-channel power amplifier, delivering 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, using Marantz’s latest Class D amplification platform with HDAM-SA2 input buffering.
Unlike the larger AMP10 and AMP20, the AMP30 adopts a slimline chassis, making it ideal for installations where rack depth or space is limited, without compromising on output power or sonic character.
Key highlights include:
- 6 x 200W channels (8 ohms)
- Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) mode, delivering 400W per channel across three channels
- Flexible amplifier modes, including normal, BTL and bi-amp
- High-speed switched-mode power supply with shielded transformer
- Classic Marantz porthole level meter and refined industrial design

This flexibility makes the AMP30 well suited to driving high-demand front speaker channels, upgrading existing AVR-based systems, or forming the foundation of compact yet high-performance multi-channel power configurations.
Scalable system design across the Marantz separates range
With the addition of AV30 and AMP30, Marantz now offers a clearly defined, scalable separates portfolio:
- AV30 – 11.4-channel processing
- AV20 – 13.4-channel processing
- AV10 – 15.4-channel processing
- AMP30 – 6-channel slimline power amplifier
- AMP20 – 12-channel full-size power amplifier
- AMP10 – 16-channel flagship power amplifier
This modular approach allows installers to mix and match processors and power amplifiers to suit the room, speaker layout and power requirements, while maintaining consistent sound quality and system voicing throughout the range.

Available from AWE
The Marantz AV30 and AMP30 are available to pre-order now through AWE, the UK distributor for Marantz custom installation products, with stock availability to follow.
Installers interested in demonstrations, training, or system design support are encouraged to contact the AWE team to find out how the new Marantz separates can be integrated into upcoming projects.
