Large-format residential cinema presents two consistent challenges – achieving sufficient brightness on very wide screens and maintaining flexibility in projector placement. The Epson EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 are engineered specifically to address both.
Delivering 6,000 and 10,000 lumens respectively, these models provide the headroom required for premium home cinemas, expansive media rooms and multi-purpose living spaces where performance cannot be limited by room layout.

High Brightness For Large Screens
With 6,000 lumens from the EH-QL3000 and 10,000 lumens from the EH-QL7000, significantly wider screens become viable compared to conventional residential projectors.
When designing to approximately 30 foot-lamberts on a 1.0 gain screen:
Designing with this level of light output provides stronger HDR impact on large images and improved resilience in rooms with partial ambient light. The laser light source is rated up to 20,000 hours to half brightness, allowing useful light levels to be maintained long term.
Interchangeable Lens System – Installation Without Constraint
The EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 are supplied as body-only units and are compatible with Epson’s interchangeable lens range, enabling precise lens selection based on throw distance and room design.
With up to 13 interchangeable lens options available, installation can range from ultra-short throw through to extreme long-throw configurations extending beyond 7:1 ratios.
On a 4-metre-wide screen, projection distance ranges from 1.4 metres to 28.6 metres depending on the lens specified (0.35:1 to 7.16:1 throw ratios).
Both models feature powered zoom, focus and lens shift, with vertical shift up to +/- 64 percent; adjustment ranges vary depending on the lens specified.

Image Performance & HDR Processing
Both models deliver 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 using Epson’s 3LCD laser architecture, maintaining full-time colour brightness without colour wheel artefacts. Dynamic Tone Mapping optimises HDR content on a frame-by-frame basis, supported by a quoted 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
In practical terms, this level of light output supports strong HDR performance even on very large screens.
