Denon & Marantz now available with Dirac Live Bass Control

Dirac has announced that its Live Bass Control acoustic software is now available for selected Denon & Marantz products, providing exceptional low-frequency control for single and multi-subwoofer home cinema installations.

Live Bass Control, which offers consistent and accurate bass performance, is available in eight existing mid-range to high-end Denon & Marantz units available from AWE, as well as future models.

What is Dirac Live Bass Control?

Dirac Live Bass Control is part of the Dirac Live family of audio processing software. Powered by AI, Dirac Live Bass Control intelligently optimises subwoofers and speakers to deliver smooth and evenly distributed bass.

The key benefit for installers is that Dirac Live Bass Control enables subwoofers to be positioned anywhere in the room. This provides greater flexibility to when it comes to a client’s aesthetic preferences and room layout, without compromising on audio performance.

How does it work? The software aggregates the measurement and location data from each subwoofer and identifies gaps in the sound waves. It then ensures time-alignment among all speakers and adjusts low frequencies to optimise the bass for every seating position – whilst accurately producing the entire spectrum of audio with the additional room correction full bandwidth software.

How do existing customers get Dirac Live Bass Control?

Selected Denon & Marantz units will be able to run Dirac Live Bass Control following an over-the-air software update, which will allow customers to buy a license. This will then activate the software on their unit.

Dirac ready units include the Denon AVC-A1H, AVC-X3800H, Denon AVC-X4800H, Denon AVC-X6800H.

Marantz’s Dirac Ready units include the Marantz AV 10, Marantz CINEMA 40, and Marantz CINEMA 50.
