Bespoke Home Cinemas Deliver Farmhouse Cinema With Flying Colours

Fully renovated and re-imagined, the Falcon Farmhouse is a beautiful Grade II Listed stone farmhouse set in the heart of the stunning Staffordshire countryside. Falcon Farmhouse is part of a collection of luxury serviced holiday homes known as The Fledglings. Located on the Tawny Estate, and boasting high quality accommodation, a private swimming pool and now a dedicated 8-seater home cinema, it provides guests with a unique and luxurious experience that mirrors what they would aspire to have in their own homes.

Award-Winning integrator, Bespoke Home Cinemas, were briefed to design and construct a high-end cinema room within this farmhouse property.

High-performance products were purposely selected from brands, Bowers & Wilkins, Sony and Denon to provide the perfect solution to a luxurious new cinema. Designed, installed and calibrated by Bespoke Home Cinemas, all within this unique project in a property on the estate.

Technology and Performance:

The brief was for high-end audio-visual equipment, complimented by a top projection brand, ensuring an immersive and superior cinema experience. The client’s preference was for a renowned speaker brand to ensure top-tier sound quality, all fitted discretely to maintain the room’s aesthetic.

Audience & Ambience:

The space was to be versatile, accommodating various group sizes and purposes. With a focus on creating a cosy yet sophisticated atmosphere, suitable for an exclusive retreat experience.

Challenges:

A key challenge of this project was ensuring the cinema room was fully installed and ready to meet the firm deadline for the first bookings in July 2024. The space was stripped back to its original brickwork ahead of preparing for the acoustic treatment. A key factor in this success was the Bespoke Cinemas team working collaboratively with the builders, joiners, and electricians, maintaining open communication and a shared commitment to the project’s timeline.

The Solution:

Working closely to specify the best solution with leading specialist distributor, AWE, the team at Bespoke Cinemas completed a majestic 7.2.4 cinema, complete with star ceiling, scene lighting, Bowers & Wilkins integrated speaker system and subwoofers, and a native 4k Sony Laser projector. With amplification, processing and source selection coming from a flagship Denon receiver. The careful selection of each product all pivotal in fulfilling the client’s ambitions for the space.

Renowned for superior sound quality, as used in Abbey Road studios, Bowers & Wilkins speakers ensured an immersive and high-end audio experience certain to impress the diverse clientele who would stay at the Falcon Farmhouse. The seamless integration of the in-wall and in-ceiling speakers within the fabric of the room maintained its authentic charm and interior aesthetic while delivering exceptional performance. Original wooden beams still feature within the cinema room with materials and colours used to complement the rest of the farmhouse.

Additionally, the reputation of Bowers & Wilkins as a highly revered, global leading audio brand, underscored the cinema room’s luxurious appeal; making it a space that guests would aspire to replicate in their own homes. By choosing Bowers & Wilkins, the project achieved a perfect balance of sophisticated technology and timeless design, enhancing the overall guest experience and elevating the property’s standard of luxury.

Likewise, a 4k Sony laser projector provides the stunning picture on a 3.2m acoustically transparent projection screen. The Sony VPL-XW5000 native 4K projector was selected to suit the screen size and the dimensions of the room. Boasting 8.3 million pixels and up to 2000 lumens, as well as being one of the most compact native 4K projectors on the market. It’s a great high-performance solution for this high spec, high performance cinema.
