AWE’s Mal Fisher Recognised as ‘CEDIA Volunteer of the Year’

We are absolutely delighted to share the news that our very own Mal Fisher has been awarded ‘CEDIA Volunteer of the Year’ for his outstanding contribution to CEDIA’s association programs over the past 12 months.

With a background as an installer prior to joining AWE 15 years ago, Mal is now Chief Technology Officer at AWE and currently serves as the chair of CEDIA’s Professional Development Advisory Council. Mal has also lent his expertise to CEDIA Education initiatives in the EMEA region and globally.

Mal said of his win: “I’m overwhelmed to be receiving this award. Up to my involvement with the PDAC, I had no idea of the sheer number of enthusiastic and committed volunteers contributing to ensure CEDIA is at the heart of our industry. It’s been a privilege to work with members across the globe, and many become friends and mentors. I’m grateful to AWE and my family for letting me have the time to contribute what I can, and to all those CEDIA volunteers and staff, many thanks.
